I also finally found a larger pot for my U. Albomarginata. It was difficult as she is in a 19 inch pot right now. But I found a 25 inch pot today for her. Good drainage. So it'll do. I can't put her in it right now as there is a fly spider living on her eating flies and keeping them at bay so I don't want to evict him.

Here is Wheee in her new larger pot. The only larger size they had was a 15 inch (she was in a 10 inch) so it's a bit big but it should do her for a few years. Also my "fall display" mums.

PG in the pot that Wheee was in previously. I also got a new PG division from someone today. I need to pot it but I put it in one of the nursery pots I had left over from earlier.

i dont know if i would be repottong this time of year.. but i dont specialize in pots ...

i would fear them popping out of the pots in the dead of winter.. because they arent fully settled in ????

Brandy, your hosta sure look pretty with all that dappled sunlight on them. Your babies are growing up!

As I was admiring them, I was thinking how well you take care of them as well as the pots they are planted in. There is pride in your beautiful garden and it shows. :-)

Ken, yes I have overwintered U. Albomarginata before and she has been switched before even later than this. PG and Wheee really needed larger pots so they would make it, in my opinion. Both were very "cramped" where they were, too cramped.

I've heard the same thing about mums. That sometimes they may not come back if you plant them now. I don't think it applies to pots? Because everyone I know that puts them in pots, they say they always come back. It's in the ground that's the problem this late. But I don't know? Just going on what I've been told. I am going to switch the soil from Moisture Control to the regular Miracle Grow potting mix bc everyone says it's bad... Eventhough it's all I've ever used and never had a problem.
