Yes, it does hold the color in my garden. It's on the slow side getting started, but is a must have, I think. Mine gets a couple hours of early morning sun, then no direct sun the rest of the day, and it holds up very well. Linda P |

| I agree with Linda. Mine is in filtered shade and it has a beautiful yellow glow all season. It is one of my hubby's favorites. |

| Sun Power is the most dramatic, eye-catching hosta in my yard. No matter what you try to look at, the eye always leads to Sun Power. |

| Definitely--one of my favorites for it's ability to 'hold the gold'! :o)
I wish I had taken a pic. of it last month--bigger and golder!! |

| A couple of notes... This one gets mislabeled a lot... I believe it is registered as Sun Power rather than Sunpower... I am not as huge a fan of Sun Power as some... probably due to my placement of it in the garden... which brings me to my second point - Sun Power needs the right location. If it doesn't get bright light, it grows slowly and really doesn't develop the good yellow color. On the other hand, it grew well when I moved it to a spot with direct sun from about noon to 2:30 PM and some bright reflected light as well - and it burns in August. So even though it is often listed as very sun tolerant, my experience is that it prefers bright, but not direct midday sun. |

I have to agree with 'idiothe' on his comments. Mine has a bright spot from about 9:00 a.m. till 12:00 p.m. so it hasn't grown as quickly as some I've seen. But, being 'where it is', it hasn't experienced any burning, probably because of how the Earth tilts during the progression of Summer! :o) I'd have to say, though, a really mature one is very beautiful! But, I'm a fan of the goldies! I finally have to say that I need not get anymore of them--My garden 'glows' enough, for sure! |

| Hey J, that is a glorious photo, I just love it. And it does show, also, how beautiful it is to put the gold amongst the blues/greens...but not too many. You have a nice eye. People say that I do, but those are mostly people who come to my yard who are not gardeners. Often, I plan my placements, but then end up not liking them: too busy. |

WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW THATS WHAT YOU CALL A HOSTA!! do you get any burning |

| I get very little burning even late in this dry year. If I get a burned leaf, I just cut it out. Nobody misses it. |

| the plant loves it here... grew really fast with midday direct sun... but... here it is in September... as you can see from the plants around it, we watered the heck out of it during our all-summer drought, but it just wasn't enough...
