Name That Hosta #1

| Okay, here is one I uploaded directly from my camera - no identifier in sight. I bought it this year just because I couldn't resist it. I knew nothing about it, except that it was adorable. Can you guess?

| OH.... Uh... Geeshh I hate tests. It's right on the tip of my tongue.. now if I could only stick it out far enough to see it. It looks soooo familiar.... :-( and pretty :-). I get an F for the day.. sorry Alexis |

| I am going to guess it is a juvenile June. There are a few variances of June and my guess it is one of them.Phil |

| I can see hostapumpkinman's point about coloration. The shape is more like Remember Me, which is an offspring of June. Could it be? |

Hello, 'Guardian Angel' ? |

| It sure looks similar to my baby Touch of Class (also a June sport).

| My guess is an immature Guardian Angel, from the coloration. Phil |

| I cheated and looked at your Photobucket. I'm not sure anyone will guess it since it's still somewhat uncommon, but it's a lot of fun trying! In any case, it's a beautiful hosta. Make sure to post some pics in the next year or two as it matures. |

| Don, I assumed that someone computer savvy would do just as you did, but thanks for not revealing the name. The guessing goes on. I'll check back later. |

Loisf, It looks a lot like my H.'Dylan's Dilly' if it is a mature specimen..... Denny |

I love the ones which have streaks of dark blue on a green leaf...like Tok. Aureonebulosa...Blue Shadows...etc. Here is one with that coloration that is still unavailable: Holy Grail (sport of Hadspen Blue)

| Don, what a beauty! Hadspen Blue is such a great hosta. Let's hope that Holy Grail will be too. The name of the mystery hosta is Winfield Mist. It's a sport of Winfield Blue discovered by Mark Zilis in 2003. Good guesses, everyone. It could easily have been any of those. Someone else's turn now to post Name That Hosta #2. Don, how about you? Or Denny? Or Jim? Hey J? Carol? Ken? |
