I think Ken probably has it with one of those he's named...if not, it could also be English Sunrise, May, or Zitronenfalter...all of which are very bright yellow in the spring.

I will go with Sea Fire, Dawns early light or Sun Power. It is more difficult when the leaves are not quite unfurled yet..

That definately is one bright hosta when it pops up in the spring! Does it stay that way, or turn green after a few weeks (viridescent)?

My Fire Island turns green in summer. But when it adds new leaves in the fall, they are bright yellow. I think it makes a lovely contrast.
