How about this one? I haven't heard much mention of this hosta, but I love it. It tolerates lots of sun and looks good all year.

Hmmmmm....looks like a fairly thick leaf. Is it a small, medium, or large hosta?

grand tiara?

Perhaps Radient Edger

Congratulations, hostabuff. Radiant Edger it is. In the Hostapedia Mark Zilis has it listed as a medium-small to medium hosta. It is a tissue culture sport of Gold Edger. It has done extremely well for me in about 6 hours of midday sun. Very thick leaves.

Okay...I don't think I have this one, which makes it a little harder. I would say it must be a small or small/medium plant...with good leaf substance...glossy...somewhat puckered and cupped. My guess is maybe Ice Cream...but here are a few other possibilities...Radiant Edger, Grand Tiara, Sultana, Parky's Prize, Warwick Curtsey, Goldbrook Gleam, Tropical Storm. Am I on the right track???

Hey, Don. It looks as if we were working on our posts at the same time. You were definitely on the right track. Zilis says it is 14" high with a clump potential of about 32". And I think you have to get one. It's a real beauty, in my opinion.

Very nice Hosta, I have radiant edger, usually looks more gold, with thick leaves (and interesting seedlings), not thin like a tiara, I would say that it is more of a small hosta, and not medium, medium I would classify Patriot to be in (or June).

I agree with you, Paul. My Radiant Edgers are more gold. I have several from two different sources. I would classify them as a small hosta also. Mine take quite a bit of sun.

This is a photo of the whole plant.

Radiant Edger was on my "most wanted" list already, and your beautiful pictures make me want to move it up!

My generous collector-neighbor offered me chunks of anything I want. So next spring I must get moving on making more hosta beds. If he doesn't have it, I will put it near the top of my shopping list.
