Here is El Nino today, Dec 24th. I have never had any green leaves, much less a bloom stalk on a hosta this late in the year. El Nino weather here s bringing much needed rain, but with it comes warmer temps too (I don't think we've dropped below 50 degrees at night here when we should be in the 40's). That same stalk with buds has been there for week stuck in suspended animation.

Oh well, this is a flukey year and time will tell if I will have any hostas for spring. I suppose I could buy more.... ;-)
