Current Event? What can I say.

Thomas called me last week, mad as hell. Thomas is the administrator over at the Assisted Living Center (ALC).

First some background on this story. About 15 years ago we had a large influx of retirees selling high somewhere to relocate here where houses are cheap. After a few years a number of these folks could no longer run a house and opted to move into the large ALC we have.

Last week the elderly ALC residents are sitting around all bored to death. Who shows up but a daffy pharmaceutical representative and starts handing out free samples of Viagra and KY Jelly. Somehow the ALC staff failed to note what was happening. Its likely the residents were a little secretive of their new goodies.

Later that night all hell broke loose. Thomas had to call in two doctors and three nurses. He instructed the staff to collect all the Viagra immediately but to wait until the next day to round up the KY Jelly. That was probably the only smart thing to this whole affair.

Things were just beginning to return to normal when Thomas got served with a class action lawsuit for unlawful confiscation of private property. Theyre asking for compensatory and punitive damages of one million dollars.

The pharmaceutical representative had told the residents he would return next month with more samples. Thomas is now waiting for him shotgun in hand.
