What selective memories we have. I was reading on the web, and came across this tidbit from snopes. Revisionist history to say the least.

Here is a link that might be useful: link

Sorry, who is revising history Mrs?

RE: Revist Iraq

Why are we going through this yet again?

Much happened in Iraq with weapons inspectors and IAEA actions from when those quotes were made by President Clinton and the time of lies perpetuated by the Bush Administration as a rationale for invading Iraq.

The Bush Administration was not relying on intelligence from the 1990s - they were paying good money to the Iraqi National Congress and Chalabi for fresh - and false - intelligence.

Not to mention the "sexed-up" intelligence revealed by the British memos, and so much more, showing that the war was knowingly started on false charges.

And then there was the testimony of El-Baradei and others against the Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld cabal's charges of WMDs.

This must the third time this attempted exculpation of the Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld hawks has been introduced in this forum.

Not taking any blame away from Bush nancy. Just think the dems need to own up to their fair share.

RE: Revist Iraq

Again - much transpired between the time President Clinton made his statements and when the Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld cabal made theirs. See above. There is no equivalency between the two situations no matter how hard some GOPers try to rewrite history.

BUSH AND CHENEY IGNORED WARNINGS THAT THERE WERE NO WMDs IN IRAQ IN ORDER TO START THEIR WAR.

A perfect act of contrition may not be enough to save them from everlasting damnation.
