Jallianwala Bagh & Sandy Hook...

... have some common elements.
At Jallianwala Bagh, a small number (50?) of armed men massacred a large number (1000?) of trapped (presumed innocent) people.
At Sandy Hook one person massacred twenty six trapped (20 definitely innocent) people.
The General who ordered the massacre was widely denounced but there were pockets of support for him - in some high places too!
The person who carried out the massacre at Sandy Hook has been widely denounced but in some places the heinousness of his crime has been diluted by deflection to his mother, his mental state and by the distraction of the "Gun Debate".
Disclosure: the writer of this post is solely responsible etc.etc.
