... and very amateurish theater at that.
"Apple is exploiting an absurdity," Levin said at the start of the hearing.
I beg to disagree! The CEO is doing exactly what his share holders desire.
It is the tax code that needs revision - all these years now.
Same as the Immigration laws - all these years now.
Same as the Health care laws - all those years previously.
If there is a wholesale change proposed, Congress thinks it should be taken piecemeal. And vice versa.
Congress absolves itself by hauling top officials of the IRS and Apple to answer questions and listen to snide, sniping remarks (Sen. McCain's "Why the hell do I have to keep updating apps on my iPhone all the time?"); when in truth they should be doing the hard work of formulating laws that address the current plight of "The American People". END.

I agree. It's like a reality show: fake.

And we pay these people huge salaries, with benefits many of us will never receive. What's wrong with THIS picture?

As a comedy, it's pretty funny.

Sadly, these days, it's mostly tragedy.
