Sally Ride died because she was a LESBIAN:

What was that I was stating tother day about that crew of (someone called them Christians I fail to find that so) over at the Family Research Council. I lifted this from their SCIENCE PAGE!
"Sally Ride: Dead at 61
Sally Ride, the first U.S. female astronaut, died this year at 61 of pancreatic cancer. Most women live until their 80s. Something strange afoot?

Sometimes the scientific research done by this group is carried out by people who have been thrown out of professional organizations.

Ride was married to a fellow astronaut from 1982 to 1987. But it was just revealed she had a long time lesbian relationship of 27 years. Do the math: her 27 year relationship with a professor of school psychology (and co-founder of Sally Ride's company) means that she got into that relationship in 1985, smack in the middle of her marriage. It would appear that her childhood friend broke up her marriage.
And Sally may have paid with some of her lifespan. Our latest research into recent homosexual obituaries from San Francisco indicates that lesbians are dying on average around 60ish. Ride fits the pattern of lesbian deaths, but not that of married women's deaths, which usually extend into the early-to-mid 80s.
Is this proof that homosexual activity leads to an early death? No, of course not. Had she stayed married, Sally Ride might have died at the same age and of the same malady. But, on average, her death fits a consistent pattern suggesting that homosexuality is associated with an early demise."
I guess Lesbians must produce a certain thingy in the thing or the watchermacallit that tells MOTHER NATURE that shes now with another woman. Which wakes up the DROP DEAD DEGENERATE IN SPACE cells!

I lover science writes "Smack in the middle" must have and advanced degree of pulpit pounding.

Anyway the link is from Right Wing Watch

By the way some of the so called research on the HATE GROUPS SITE is carried out by discredited scientists dropped by their professional organizations.

"On December 2, 1983, the American Psychological Association sent Paul Cameron a letter informing him that he had been dropped from membership. Early in 1984, all members of the American Psychological Association received official written notice that "Paul Cameron (Nebraska) was dropped from membership for a violation of the Preamble to the Ethical Principles of Psychologists" by the APA Board of Directors.5 Cameron has posted an elaborate argument about his expulsion from APA on his website, claiming that he resigned from APA before he was dropped from membership. Like most organizations, however, APA does not allow a member to resign when they are being investigated. And even if Cameron's claims were accepted as true, it would be remarkable that the largest professional organization of psychologists in the United States (and other professional associations, as noted below) went to such lengths to disassociate itself from one individual.
At its membership meeting on October 19, 1984, the Nebraska Psychological Association adopted a resolution stating that it "formally disassociates itself from the representations and interpretations of scientific literature offered by Dr. Paul Cameron in his writings and public statements on sexuality."6

Labrea,

The body KNOWS when you are engaging in lesbian activity and self destructs itself. The self destruction cells are the same ones responsible for shutting down your ability to get pregnant when you are raped.

Jeez...this is just plain science, didn't you know that?

RE: Sally Ride died because she was a LESBIAN:

Noe this is some real SCIENCE that I had rather not known about!

Researchers in Japan have found that female mice produced by using genetic material from two mothers but no father live significantly longer than mice with the normal mix of maternal and paternal genes. Their findings provide the first evidence that sperm genes may have a detrimental effect on lifespan in mammals.
The research, which is published online today (Wednesday 2 December) in Europe's leading reproductive medicine journal Human Reproduction [1], found that mice created from two female genomes (bi-maternal (BM) mice) lived an average of 186 days longer than control mice created from the normal combination of a male and female genome. The average lifespan for the type of mice used in the study is between about 600-700 days, meaning that the BM mice lived approximately a third longer than normal.
Professor Tomohiro Kono (PhD), from the Department of Bioscience, Tokyo University of Agriculture, and Director of the Nodai Research Institute (Tokyo, Japan), and Dr Manabu Kawahara (PhD), associate professor at the Laboratory of Animal Resource Development, Faculty of Agriculture, Saga University (Japan), carried out the research. They believe the reason for the difference in longevity could relate to a gene on chromosome 9 associated with post-natal growth.
Prof Kono said: "We have known for some time that women tend to live longer than men in almost all countries worldwide, and that these sex-related differences in longevity also occur in many other mammalian species. However, the reason for this difference was unclear and, in particular, it was not known whether longevity in mammals was controlled by the genome composition of only one or both parents."
To answer this question, Prof Kono and Dr Kawahara set out to study the life span of mice produced without sperm. To do this, they collected non-growing oocytes (eggs) from day-old mice, manipulated the genetic material in these eggs so that the genes behaved like sperm genes, and then transplanted this manipulated genetic material into the fully grown, unfertilised oocytes of adult mice that had their nuclei removed (enucleated oocytes). These reconstructed oocytes developed into embryos, which were transferred into surrogate mother mice. The mice that were born as a result were bi-maternal, having genetic material from two mothers, but no father.
The researchers created control mice through natural mating that were genetically identical to the BM mice, apart from the fact that they were created in the normal way with genes from male and female mice.
There were 13 BM mice and 13 control mice born between October 2005 and March 2006, and Prof Kono found that the average lifespan was 186 days longer in the BM mice than in the controls (841.5 days versus 655.5 days). The longest time that any of the control mice lived was 996 days, with all but one of them dying by 800 days, while the longest time alive for the BM mice was 1045 days, with all but three of them living for more than 800 days. The researchers checked the weight of the mice at 49 days and 600 days (around 20 months after birth) and found that the BM mice were significantly lighter and smaller than the control mice. The BM mice also seemed to have better immune systems, with a significant increase in one type of white blood cell, eosinophil.

Now I don't know if the mice were lesbian or not!

How come they didn't add some mice created through parthenogenesis? I would love to hear about the levels of some of the so called male hormones like testosterone. What would be the results if you used a species that was able to change sex?

RE: Sally Ride died because she was a LESBIAN:

You know, the whole "anti" view on anything considered by a religious based mindset living in some self created fantasy land of old fashioned, outdated, patriarchal taboo... it just blows my mind that thinking can be so narrow, so constricted and closed, festering with hate and ignorance.

What possible difference could the sexual orientation of someone else make? What possible difference could the beliefs and personal likes of another make? And who cares if those individuals want to attain success and happiness through the same avenues as everyone else?!

In the world of reality, they don't matter. They can't.

But in the narrow world of taboo, they are frightening and they make all the difference. Some folks have to live in a padded comfort zone where nothing is different or unusual, they are protected from anything different or unusual, and nothing can penetrate the ingrained mindset or ring of protection surrounding them and their irrational fears.

There's a huge feature story in the Entertainment section of CNN online this week, picturing all the gay, lesbian and bisexual celebrities that have come out publicly in recent times. Most have only one facet that's publicly discriminated against to deal with... while a person like Wanda Sykes is a walking advertisement for the word "Minorities"! Can anyone imagine what she's had to overcome in order to attain her own vision of success? She's a gay black female, a trifecta winner in the public "OMG" category, and I respect her so much for being who she is, and being proud of who she is while standing in the public eye.

But the truth is, Ms. Sykes shouldn't have to overcome anything to attain the success she wants. There shouldn't be any barriers, any prejudices to cross over. Every other human being should look at her and see a funny individual who has earned her place in the world of celebrities, and in her personal life, even if her brand of humor isn't exactly to their liking.

For a group of disenfranchised scientists... and I use the word "science" very loosely... to twist reality in such a way that it caters to the comfort zone of religious ideals, denigrating scores of human beings along the way, is just plain crazy. It defies rational thinking.

Joe, I just weep for all the victims of bigotry, regardless of what difference a person holds that places them in that category within the illogical minds of those who hate or are ignorant. It doesn't matter whether it's gender, race, sexual orientation, or any other difference. Humans should be celebrated for their uniqueness, not held at arms length because someone else doesn't understand, or isn't accepting.

It angers me no end that we've reached the 21st century, yet we've grown so little as a species. And we seem to devolve further under the banner of religion and religious extremism. I truly think that religion and the texts that are held up to follow are the evil in our world. We shouldn't be warring, or harming others, or segregating and hating under the perverted ideals chosen from such man made reams of words. It's sickening.

The quicker we can squash such ignorance, and bring our world together as one species, the better off we'll all be.

Every time another story like this surfaces I just want to slap humanity upside the head. What is wrong with people?

And isn't it a shame that without such things as Affirmative Action a lot of minorities would have been passed over due to discrimination and other people's personal dislikes and religious beliefs?

How shameful that we need laws to integrate everyone into society.
