I don't think folks have a clue abt this Purple & what it means (that we're being fed science projects w/ NO idea whatsoever if this might be harmful to us in future). While I like to eat an ear of corn once in a while, I'm a tad reluctant to, since I hear it's ALL GMO now. While I don't eat much soy, I hear that's involved too as well as peanuts which I do enjoy & are said to be healthy to eat.

Once I get some power back, I'll try to check out your blog.

I've vowed to tell whoever will listen because I think this is all very scary. The scariest part is like you said, nobody knows what's going on. IMO anyway. I just know that when things are kept a secret, it's usually because they're not good.

Really, no one is interested in this?

I bought a number of canned soups for the fist time in a while & wondered about those containing corn. I got them all the same, as emergency provisions, but still, I did wonder about it.

This seems to be one of those giant, mysterious issues that people can feel hopeless/helpless about. Something of which I was almost completely unaware until watching the documentary Food, Inc. a few years ago.

Here's where I find it most scary Purp, what about the cooking oils? Peanut Oil or Corn oil, now I'm afraid to use any of them & I rather liked baking w/corn oil or Canola Oil. Don't know what to think.

To tell the truth, no, it's not high on my list of things to worry about.

Tidbit - 'Canola' is an acronym for Canadian oil, low acid.

I haven't studied oils enough to comment on that but the Wiki article on Canola oil is interesting. But I do know that if you buy anything in a package not specifically marked organic, it's almost certain to contain some type of GMO ingredients. If it was one type of food, one could make choices to avoid them if desired.

I generated the list at the link above by using the widely published list of corporate conglomerates that gave money to fight prop 37 in CA earlier this month. They spent close to 50 million dollars just to fight this one proposal in one state election. I went to the website of each one to find the brands under each corporation. And I didn't list brands I was sure I've never heard of, it's not even a comprehensive list of brands owned by these conglomerates. But, the point is, this incomplete list includes almost all of the food in packages at any grocery store.

I don't know if any of this stuff will be shown in time to be a mistake, but I believe people have the right to know what's in their food.
