Stop by Gardino's this week? I'm going to West Palm tomorrow and am so tempted to take a ride over there. It's only about 20 minutes away. Their "hoya house" is full of so many interesting varieties. Last winter I ended up shipping 3 boxes of plants home (not all hoyas). I'm afraid I'll end up doing that again and I really don't have the room. I just received 23 plants from Miles that I'm still trying to find space for. I can't seem to help myself once I'm there and there's no way that I can go and just look, impossible. lol

I would not be able to resist so I say go for it. Maybe set a limit like two plants only. If you are like me you will never be able to make up your mind and they will boot you out at closing time. LOL

Go, go, go, absolutely gooooooooooo. And then tell us all about it and take pictures if they'll let you. As we do not have a commercial hoya grower anywhere near where I live, I will also let you gloat.

Hi! I've been to Gardino's and come home with quite a nice bunch of plants...in fact, the best! It's quite an interesting experience, once I wasn't quite prepared for....Have you made an appointment with them? You must, you can't just show up......and, you must give them a list of what you want and they will have it ready for you....

I haven't called Andrea yet but will try and get over there next week. You can show up but it's not a guarantee that anyone will be there. I had an idea of what I wanted when I visited last year but after the 2 hour tour came home with way more then I anticipated. lol Normally I just mail plants home but it's so unusually cold there that I'm going to have to pack everything in a sturdy box and check it as luggage. I've done this before with no problem, or damage to the plants, but was on Southwest and I didn't have to pay for additional checked bags. I'm going to have to limit myself because I'm flying Jet Blue and only get 1 free checked bag : ( I had to pass up on several passiflora vines that I saw today because they were all in 3-5 gal pots. Not only do I have to limit amounts but size as well. If I moved here I wouldn't have that problem ; )
