 o
Large Leaf NO ID, suggestions please

Hi Folks,

Here's a Hoya cutting which was recently given to me. It's No ID, was a large cutting but difficult to get started; I water rooted it until there was a small bit of root & then potted it up.

Perhaps someone will recognize it, or what group of Hoyas to which it belongs. I do know bloom will help ID it, but am hoping folks could at least make a couple of suggestions. TIA

Hoya incrassata would be my suggestion.

It seems very similar to the one I'm trying to identify!

Perhaps crassicaulis???

It is quite possible that Hoya incrassata and Hoya crassicualis are just variations of the same species. Mitzi if your plant came with the name Hoya crassicualis then just keep that name.

Thanks Mike,

At least for a guess, this way I might browse the kind of care suggested for that one, if anything special.

Hi Mitzi,

Who knows, I'm just going to grow this on & see how she develops.

I like the incrassata hypothesis.

The incrassata and crassicaulis specimens I have are easily distinguishable from one another, but it does make sense that they are argued to be the same plant. I agree it does look like your crassicaulis-NOID, Mitzi.

It's an easy Hoya to care for. And the variegated ones are really lovely. I'm going to try and collect all the ones Joni has. mwahahahaha

Looking for the ID's that I received (and lost during the trip) this must be the crassicaulis..........
