Old Hoya Society

I've been away from active Hoya involvement for many years but in preparing for a move, I came across my old Hoya Society bulletins beginning in June of 1979. I was a charter member of this organization and received the bulletin for a couple of years. This bulletin was 8" by 10," included actual photographs glued to the pages & was edited by Christine Burton. I was kinda wondering what became of this society after I left. Did it evolve any or morph into the present Hoya society? Just curious.

Well, there's an "International Hoya Association"
run by D. Kloppenburg & Ann Wayman..

And Christine Burton runs her own "bulletin" called
"PS the Hoyan" see link below.

Mrs. Burton's organization was the 'Hoya Society International'. The two organizations were never associated, and in fact, HSI publications seemed to take glee in attacking IHA.

The Swedish Hoya Society publishes its newsletter the 'Hoya telegraph' in English now. You may want to look into joining them.

Only meant to provide info on CB's PS the Hoyan...which still seems to do the job that the HSI publications did?
