New Hoya from EA?

Probably not...
But I was in Wal-Mart yesterday and spotted this beautifully grown hoya basket and at first looked like a solid green hoya carnosa that I have been wanting for a long while (used to see them everywhere). Anyway it had the thick smooth green leaves and some reddish-brown smooth leaves and a few slightly indented leaves. It was labelled Chelsea. I have 2 Chelsea's already that have very indented leaves (if that is the right description) but this one seems different and I hope it doesn't turn out to be Chelsea. Don't get me wrong, I love my very beautiful Chelseas but I was looking for different.

Hey Susan. You know, I really couldn't tell what you have from your description, but as you know, the EA Hoyas aren't very reliably labeled so you could very well have a non-Chelsea. Maybe you could compare what you have to the listings on their website: Exotic Angel Hoyas I'd be happy to send you a cutting or small plant of a plain green carnosa in the spring, if you like. Just send me an email to remind me when it's warm enough.

Thanks GG. Yes, I did compare with their listings but I swear they hide some. LOL! That is so kind and generous to offer and I will definitely pay postage if you can send. Thanks, Susan

Well, maybe you can post a picture for us sometime. (guide) I hear what you're saying about the EA website always seeming slightly out of sync, somehow. No worries about the carnosa. It's an easy enough request to fill - if I didn't offer someone else would.

After checking the other chelseas out more, I'm sure I have another Chelsea. It's lovely tho. Thanks.

Actually, it may be a chelsea clone or something-only has a few dimpled leaves and the rest are wide and smooth. Whatever it is, I love it! Seems to grow like a weed also and I don't think Chelsea grows that fast. Susan
