I'll leave it to others to correct your nomenclature (if such is needed),
but I would like to say that I'd delicately pot the Hoya's roots in a moistened bark mix.
I'd start with mostly bark, then beef it up with a bit of pumice and perlite, maybe even
turface if it's available.

Water roots are delicate, of course, but I think the mass of roots should pull through.
Besides, it ain't died yet...so it's clearly vital!

Hi Jeff!! Your 'KQ' looks very fat and happy. I grow most of mine in coir with perlite added. I'd probably use pumice instead if it wasn't so expensive to use. I think it will adjust to a soil mix, but if it's happy as is, I would probably put it in hydroton if you can get it up there. I have about a dozen Hoyas happily growing in the hydroton.

Now that you're in the Great White North, I think you will find Hoyas are the perfect plant to grow. But I'll caution you - I think they're even more addictive than succulents!
