Moonwolf do you have a pic of what your Nikki looks like? I just moved all my non blooming hoyas into turface and under sunblaster lights hoping to get them to bloom.

I repotted all my hoyas earier in the year with fresh soil, using orchid bark, perlite, vermiculite, peat moss, sand and new potting mix. My goal was to make the potting mix more porous. Well, it seemed to work. All my hoyas I'm happy to report are responding well with greener leaves and more vigorous growth. And new spurs with buds...

I took cuttings of several of my hoyas and they're either growing in a vase or baggie and they're rooting good as well.

But why Tammy w/ all the other ingredients you mentioned, did you feel you need for sand? And peat? Am confused, & also concerned it's not going to be a good thing, in the future.

Seems my hoyas like the new potting mix. In fact, I got this idea from a hoya enthusiast from Vermont. Not sure if sand is part of his mixture, but not only so I use sand, I also use some aquarium gravel (to make the potting mix more porous), keep in mind I use a little sand/gravel in my mix. Maybe 1/4 of a part of the rest.
