Whoa! It's going to be below zero here tonight and it makes me feel great that we should start seeing bulbs soon!

Snow drops are such great spring flowers, I have seen them bloom here while there is still snow on the ground.
I sure hope that groundhog was right, it's -25C (-13F) here tonight with the wind chill.

Beautiful picture - totally uplifting. It's supposed to be in the 50s here this weekend and I. can't. wait. This morning I walked to work with my hood down to soak up some rare sunshine and vitamin D, and despite the risk of frostbite (lol) even that was great!

I heard 40's!! Yippie! Monday really kicked my butt. The cold literally took my breath away. I can handle the snow, but the bitter cold just plain $ucks...

I told my mom today that I've been hearing birds sing the last couple of mornings. That's unusual when it's this cold. I have to think THEY know something we don't!

I agree, Monday was so bad I too set it apart in my mind as possibly the worst day this winter. I got colder during that walk than I ever had walking home at night, in the dark, during one of those classic spiral windy snowstorms that have defined this year.

My dad always says he envies the fact that I can walk to work b/c he thinks it would help clear ones head. Little does he know that my head isn't clear, it's full of daydreams about all the different varieties of long underwear I could buy. Then, I get to work, warm up, and forget all about long underwear, completing the cycle.

I'm going to be listening for birds now! I agree, they must know something. They know this weekend is going to be way better than a box full of long underwear.
