I feel your pain, Mitzi. I lost 60% of mine while out of town supporting my sister with her health issues. I do have a remaining set, though, and they are little troopers. There is some definite disparity between the development of these guys.

I just recently separated mine but they were always spaced pretty far apart so it was easy to do. They didn't sulk afterward, so I must not have irritated their root system too much.

Magnificent, Kathy! I just can't get over how thick and mature those leaves look. You must be giving them perfect conditions and I feel inspired!

I have to admit I've been driving myself batty propping mine up close to their light source. Now that the weather has warmed up, I think I'm just going to put them next to a window and problem solved.

Actually, your first photo posting effort is perfectly functional. lol It's kind of entertaining, actually. You embedded a working button!

Adjusting their size is the hardest part, but I don't think the size you chose is really too bad. It's on the large side, but no one has to scroll, even on a small laptop, so it's fine.

An example of the code you would use if you were going to resize them would be:

The batch of seeds Sue Tran sent me got returned for additional postage; she resent them to me a second time. At least they stayed viable, through the USPS and cold temps. Shortly after they germinated I moved each one to it's own little cup - with pretty good survival rates; a couple leaves have a dab of possible variegation if you'll notice - will they revert back?? Time will tell!! I just have to keep them alive. :)

Great job posting! Those seedlings look fabulous. Tell us pls. when did you germinate these? They seem gigantic & yes, quite mature (w/ those thickened leaves) compared to mine (at 5 1/5 months). Did you give them bottom heat?

It's great to see all of these Hoya seedlings. Remember when this was a difficult to find and very much in demand species? Great stuff!

Kathy I agree those are some perfect pachyclada seedlings. The red margins that are visible on a few leaves are proof that they are getting the right amount of light to thrive, after all this is a Hoya that is adapted to a harsh existence.

Have been meaning to post an update on Sue's kids at my house in California. I am so glad to see so many postings from some of you with updates of your Hoyas too.
Well, mine look pretty much like Pirategirl's and greedyghost's babies. I'm glad to see that mine look just like theirs. I was beginning to think that maybe something was wrong with mine (not enough light, water ect.)but I see that they are Normal, or growing at a normal rate, considering that I planted them in late Oct or early November... Then it took them what seemed like a very long time to germinate....
@ Kathy WOW your Hoyas look great! I had no idea they would get so thick.....They're beautiful! Thanks for the pics.... Now I have an idea of what they're going to look like. I have about 12 seedlings that appear to be doing very well...I'm like a momma hen watching them all the time. I think my other Hoyas are getting just a bit jealous....
