 o
Hoya ID help: the fine points

Posted by FrugalFanny 4 (My Page) on

Hello Hoya folks!

I have just one pot of hoya growing here, so I am by no means an expert. The cuttings came from two different plants, and I thought for a long time they were all the same thing, but now they're both blooming at the same time, I'm not so sure. Are these just two different "carnosas", or is one something else? I've got some more pictures coming after this first one.

Thanks in advance,
FF

As you can see, the top (in 1st photo, left in second) flowers are a little larger and more convex. Also, their centers are slightly brighter in color. Both look equally fuzzy to me. The 2nd pair are somewhat concave, with the "petals" bending forward, and their centers are darker in color.

This first leaf photo accompanies those 1st flowers (the slightly larger ones that aren't bent forward).

This second leaf photo accompanies that 2nd flower, which is slightly smaller with forward curved "petals" and a darker center.
