To me it all looks like sun damage, that's why you see the red pigment around the wound. I would grow your plant in a little more shade if this keeps happening.

Ok, i was just getting scared because some of the photos of insv virus look like these spots! Yes its in sun from 12-6pm, but it always blooms like a champ, at least 20 bloom spikes on this 4 foot tall guy! I will try moving it!

Ok so i have one more photo, i moved the hoya to a better shaded location and while moving it i noticed that the back facing the wall that gets no sun was all perfect, dark healthy looking green leaves and no spots anywhere, this is only on the front that gets full sun, now does anyones hoya ever get these spots?

The cold affects only the leaves looking out.
The side facing the wall is more protected against the cold wind.

Sorry: My English is very poor.

With my carnosas, I have to deal with the leaf damage if I want good blooms. I don't think it really harms the plant. Perhaps giving it morning sun could reduce the damage but still induce blooms.
