Semi OT: Song That Describes Your Hoya Collection

Hi everyone,

I posted a similar question like this over on the Winter Sowing forum and I wanted to ask you what song do you think best describes your hoya collection? I've chosen this theme, also chosen to describe my outdoor garden. Give a listen to it and let me know what you think. I can hardly wait to see the responses you all will give.

This song is a remix of the original and whomever did it did a fantastic job IMO. GG, do you recognize this theme?

Brad you know I don't think I can distill my plants down to a single feeling. I have plants that are conventionally beautiful, others that are bizarre or unusual and still more that could be considered grotesque. Apparently smelling like carrion is not an endearing quality, who knew! LOL

I love tending to my plants while listening to music like Arcade Fire, beautiful music that's full of emotion. Growing plants definitely has it's ups and downs so a theme song needs a good dose of emotion.

Sometimes things can seem kinda blah, nothings really growing and no flowers. You might loose a plant you really liked so something a little sad seems appropriate.

And sometimes it really pays off and all that time spent nurturing your plants results in an amazing display of flowers or a flush of new growth. In those cases it feels a little more like this.

At least during the winter I think of
"Ah, ah, ah, ah,
Stayin' alive!
Stayin' alive!"

Everybody's doing much better now with the warmer weather though!

/Tigerdawn LMAO That was the first post I read when I woke up and what a way to start a Friday.

/Brad I didn't even have to click on the link to be in the ballpark. :P

/Mike Love your choices. "The Suburbs" is a GREAT song for hanging with the plants. I seriously need to quit screwing around and buy more of their music.

The main theme of my collection is "Bottle of Smoke" by The Pogues . (contains profanity)

I think this will make sense to anyone who's gambled on a rare cutting or a long-distance order, or is just generally flying by the seat of their pants.

When I'm happy, though, my theme song is "Best Looking Boys" by The Promise Ring. And when I'm with my plants, I am happy.
