lanceolata vs. bella question

Are lanceolata and bella officially considered different species these days, or are the considered the same?

Reason I ask, is I was looking up some cuttings that I received yesterday, and while going through my book, came across the lanceolata page. I knew that bella was considered the same at least at some point.

But according to this book, lanceolata is:

needs an open substrate and avoid wet conditions

avoid humid conditions

part shade

distinct autumn flowering

make take some time to reach flowering size

my bellas - regular and variegated

hates even the thought of becoming as dry as partly moist. Loves being pretty much sopping wet.

seems to do fine with our 80%+ humidity most of the year

part shade (the one thing in common)

flowers from early to mid summer

was the first Hoya I ever flowered, on a 6" cutting that had rooted three months before

So, are they considered synonymous or not? What are your thoughts?
