Hoya Compacta Mold

alpanther

My beloved hoya compacta of five years has been in some death throes from a slow bout with mold.

I'm pretty much down to a solid few inches of rope that I want to get rooted and start anew.

Before I pot this back in new soil/pot, I want to make sure the mold problem is eradicated and resolved. How do I do this? I know how to prevent it from the future, but how do I kill this stuff without killing me plant?
