I didnt really want to hijack the other post so I thought I would start another.
In regards to getting a stephanotis to flower - i pretty much followed the following instructions - put it in a cool place in winter, let it dry out quite a bit in winter - just watered it as little as I could (in winter)- cut it back quite a bit in spring and then started fertilizing - I used african violet fertilizer.. The stephanotis is really fragrant at night - I keep mine over the sink in my garden window, so it gets a fair amount of humidity.

By following those instructions, 2 years in a row I was able to get my stephanotis to flower...Last spring my plant was LOADED with flowers - not so much this year - maybe this winter wasnt quite as cold as last??? You've really got to smell a stephanotis and they are easy to grow... Actually it reminds me of Australis - mindu I have never had my australis flower - yet :0)
