New flowers!

Two first-time openings today. (Drum-roll please!) First we have shepherdell - flowers similar to carnosa, but smell like lilacs, which are my favorite flower for fragrance...

It's covered with budding peduncles (yay!)

And then, close by, I found my inconspicua with open flowers (I knew it was budding, but they came up faster than I expected...)

Red and yellow together is a favorite color combination, so I got all kinds of treats today! Maybe I should play the lottery!

Very pretty Denise! I especially like the second bloom, the colors are quite unique. Great job!

Very nice Denise! I love lilacs does this mean I need yet another Hoya? LOL

I second the identity of the Hoya in your second photo as Hoya davidcummingii. My small plant had buds just ready to open and then they fell off, still not sure why. :(

Welllll... I got both inconspicua and davidcummingii at the same time, so I wonder if it's possible the tags could have been switched around. I've been careful to keep them tagged as they came (because they look so much alike!!) So here are the two plants (as I got them)... first is davidcummingii...

And here is inconspicua...

So do I need to switch tags??

I am with the choir on the Davidcummingii. Mine blooms non stop and those are for sure the same flowers that I have right now. Mine smell an almost sickening sweet like candy corn covered in cotton candy. Wait till tonight and take a whif of yours, I want to compare. :)

Denise, beautiful flowers!!!
Second one is Davidcummingii, looks just like the one I had. Didn't like this hot climate.
Good growing!!!

Yeah, I'd have to agree that the second flowers are of H. davidcummingii. I just purchased H. davidcummingii and I am excited to see it bloom. I have a while before that happens, I'm sure!

Beautiful photos, Denise!
