Jan,
I know you're excited at the prospects of your blooms, but the leaves are beautiful! Love shiny leaves!

RE: Hoya archiboldiana

Thanks! Rain washed leaves for about 2 weeks, made nice & shiny. I brought the plant in my front entry so I can enjoy flowers.

Don't you love "Archie", Jan?! Pretty leaves, and flowers that knock your socks off! I love the dangly balloons almost as much as when they open into giant flowers. Mine lasted a long, long time. And I've got a couple of other peduncles budding up, so I'm excited. Feelin' your anticipation!!

Well, it's still not open. BIG SIGH!!!
Denise, yes I think it's a beauty for sure.

Jan,

It took mine forEVER to open. It must be one of the real slow-pokes. I've got another bud coming on the same peduncle and a second, so I'm making it a point NOT to check it out daily... Just FYI, the "consolation prize" for waiting so long is that they last a long, LONG time.

Jan those blooms are just beautiful, love the colours. I have a small plant that is supposed to have the same coloured blooms but I have a feeling it will be a long time before my plant blooms.

Jan can you do a scent check and report back? Those blooms just look like they should have a powerful scent but my Hoya books say that the scent is weak.

Mike, my whole livingroom smelled very pleasant this morning but it's weak smell right now. I think smells strongest at night.

Is this the plant that is considered the white form (cold be a stupid question, but it looks kind of pink to me)? I've read a few posts/comments that say the white form of H. archboldiana is much easier to bloom than any of the other colors.
Thanks,
Mike

Kelly, Cindy & Mike, thanks!
Mike, I got this one at Logee's. It said the color supposed to change to red or burgundy so I'll have to wait & see. My plant is big, these are the first flowers so it took a long time to flower.

RE: Hoya archiboldiana1

Flowers looks like turning darker, I'll update once it's noticeably darker.

 o
RE: Hoya archiboldiana2

Check the color, it's changing.
