RE: enfin!! I have something to show you

Thanks Mike.
Jan, I'm still around. Just a little bit depressed lately.
I lost my good job, friends nine months ago (4/2008, I got another job 1 month after, not great but better than nothing).
My dog for 15 years died in 3/2009, then my older brother passed away 2 week ago(6/09).
Sign!! C'est la vie.
Thanks for asking.

Sue great pictures of healthy flowering Hoya's. My fav is the last photo with the garden plants in the background. Very nice!
Sorry for your losses! You've had alot the last year. Things have to get better from now on. Lose yourself in caring for your plants. Takes your mind off your troubles. Helps me when I feel down and the rewards of blooms can't be beat!
Happy growing and I hope you feel better soon!!,,,,Debbie

Hi Sue,

Please add my condolences to the list. Sounds like you've had an awful year. When my husband went through some terrible health issues a couple years ago, I learned the meaning of that old adage "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." Hang in there!

My obovata hasn't bloomed yet this year (it's in a lower-light position this year), so I'll appreciate vicariously through yours! And your rigida gives me something to look forward to qurg my cutting I rooted last summer - it's taken off, finally, so maybe flowers are in my future!

Thanks you everyone.
I felt really better this year, my hoyas start blooming now.
It is like a reward after a hard work. I has been waiting for 2 years to see those flowers, now it is the time.
Will post more pictures.

Sue, very sorry for your losses. I hope things improve and you feel better very soon.

May I ask you what color your H. Obovata blooms are, mine bloomed for the first time a few days ago. Mine is light pink and yours looks white? Thanks...

Thanks puglvr1
This one is like ivory white, very light shade of pink, I bought from Gardino. Growing condition in NC is very hot, humid, 4h morning sun.
I do have another Obovata, from Washington garden, in buds.
i will see if they are different.
