Hello!
I order most of my hoyas online since the Home Depot I work at is cutting down on it's houseplant supply and no one else around seems to want to carry them either. I get mine from Cowboyflowerman on Ebay. He has nice healthy full plants. I have never been disappointed.

I have personal experience w/ the grower you're mentioning, he's more of a hobbyist himself, he can be a bit pricey too, as you see.

I'd expect you'd do much better price-wise w/ Cowboy Flowerman on EBay as cited above. He's got a much broader assortment of Hoyas, is far more reasonably priced ($6, $9 & $10 for more than a few of his Hoyas) & I consistently hear RAVE reviews abt him EVERY TIME. I'm going to try him soon myself, am just trying to narrow down my list of Desired Next Hoyas (too many to choose from ... sigh).

Hi Catt.

I bought my first hoya a little over a week ago. So far so good. ;-)

I got mine from Lowes and I hear that some Target stores have garden / house plant areas. If there are any in your area, you might want to try those stores as well. Call ahead, first though to make sure they have hoyas.

Have fun!

$14 is way too high for a cutting, unless it is something really rare or you live at the South Pole and half the cost is for some Japanese whaling trawler to bring it to you when the ice channels open in the summer.

I don't know where you live, but there are Home Depots, Lowes, and Targets about 20 minutes from me in every direction. There must be a few near you, and one of them is bound to have hoyas. (unless, of course, you really do live at the South Pole) You could also check the Exotic Angel website and see if they have any one in your area that sells their plants. You may have to send them an email stating your zip code and wait a few days for them to get back to you.

Watch out... you will get hooked... I started out with one less than a year ago... now I have 10 :)
