Hmm, maybe I should invest in some of those for the hard to root ones. Do you plan on washing the gel stuff off before you plant it?

You know, I tried those and I was utterly unimpressed when I transferred them from gel to soil. But I think I still have a couple. I may have to try them again...

Denise, do you remember what happened when you transferred them to soil? I'll most likely transfer to hydroton - don't know if that will make a difference.

oh ive wanted to try those!!! kelly do you recall if the package says if the gel has rooting hormones? Those look like nice strong roots.

That's great Kelly! Did you notice how many days it took to get those amount of roots? Good luck when you transfer them.

Pug, it was about a week for those roots.

Jsainz, it does not say that it has rooting hormones in it, but it does say not to use with rooting hormones.

I mispoke - it's best used with softwood cuttings and leaf cuttings. Does say on the box that the gel doesn't need to be washed off, but because I plant in hydroton I probably still will wash it off.

Put a couple of other cuttings in it- thomsonii and sadly I can't remember what the other one is even after looking at the leaf again!
