I have been researching the small smooth leaf on this hoya and have come up with Hoya Vanuatuensis. What do you all think? I have'nt heard this hoya mentioned on this forum at all. Thanks Lori

Hi Lori, it could be...it might also be Hoya diptera? I found a picture on the web of H. diptera below for comparison. If you click on the picture of the whole plant it looks very similar to yours. What do you think? Maybe others will be able to tell better...its just a guess.

Hi Lori, To me, it looks like DS-70 . Is it an EA plant? I've seen it for sale at Lowe's and those leaves strongly resemble those of DS-70. I hope this helps! Brad AKA Moonwolf

Hi Lori I think it might be a dischida and not a hoya. Cindy
|
I am with Cindy, the leaves are not the right shape to be Hoya diptera. Maybe Dischidia oiantha. Mike

I agree with Cindy. My Dishidia "Geri" looks just like that. It is a fast grower. Here it is when I brought it home at the end of March.

I have this same plant, mine's growing like crazy. It was mislabeled Hoya Lacunosa, but on the EA website, I found these two similar: http://www.exoticangel.com/Varieties/ShowProductDetails.aspx?productid =125 http://www.exoticangel.com/Varieties/ShowProductDetails.aspx?productid =403 Both of them look similar to me in the EA pictures, but exactly the same as yours and others who have posted. This one particular Hoya has resurfaced for ID a couple times in this forum. :) The shows the young red leaves I get. http://www.bildercache.de/bild/20080829-230109-913.jpg Another post on EA confusion: Many people like Hoya Brevialata for this. Here's the Hoyan link that someone else referenced, somewhere: Hope this helps a bit! I went on this same search.

Hi there! That is, in fact, Dischidia 'Geri'. I have two from EA. :) Pretty plant, but definitely Dischidia. Carolyn
