Congrats! Don't we get soooo excited with a new hoya first blooms for us? I'm still waiting for my H. Cinnamfolia(sp?) to fully bloom, as well as my H. Schneii!
Yes it is very exciting! Right now, it's a race between my carnosa and fungii to see which'll bloom first! I'm thinking fungii will bloom before carnosa but we'll never know until the buds get larger. Good luck with your cinnamafolia and schneei!
Congratulations on the fungii peduncle Brad. It looks like it's going to be a good year for your Hoyas and I guess now you just have those pubicalyx that still need to form peduncles.
I'm hoping I'll get more blooms soon. They're all growing like mad. Red Buttons is the only one with peduncles and it bloomed just once and that was after I got it last year from a trade. Then there are a few cuttings I have which are too small to bloom yet but I think everything else is old enough to bloom.
