That's very cool! I had a plant form from a rooted leaf this summer, too. I got a cutting from a trade buddy and the only leaf on the cutting popped off as I took it out of the box. Oh, I was so mad 'cuz it was a beautiful leaf! But I went ahead and tried to root both bare stem and leaf. The stem died, but the leaf rooted. Well, I've rooted plenty of leaves in my day, but have never had one actually grow, but I thought I'd give it a few months and I'd toss it if nothing happened. Well, it took about 2 months and one day, I walked by and saw a little vine poking out of the soil! I was so excited. The little guy is doing great...

But peduncles is even more interesting. I have a little cutting of hellwigiana, too, that has been just sitting there with only a single leaf for the last year and a half. Maybe it will try to do something one of these days!!

Wow talk about determination, that little leaf just refused to give up. I figure if a peduncle can form then there may be a vine to follow.
