Hi Folks,
Hope you're all well.
I know there are several posts about Hoya praetorii/lasiantha all ready, but I thought I would start a new thread.
My Hoya praetorii got really bad root mealybug, so I soaked it in methylated spirits and then watered it with a systemic insecticide. Unfortunately, this has made it very unhappy and I can see the tell tale dying off from the bottom.
So I need to save it. My issue is that I am worried about rerooting it. I would like people's opinions before I start hacking the plant to pieces as it were. I am currently thinking about cutting it half way up and then putting it into well-draining soil with a bit of rooting powder. But I am also wondering if I should try and cut it into two pieces so I have more chance of getting a rooted cutting, but I am worried this will stress the plant further.
What do you guys think? Thanks for your advice.
