Question about leaf size

Hi everyone! I hope someone can help me with this question. I have a 2 year old var. Macrophylla and the typical leaf size has been between 3-4" leaves. Well the last leaf it put out was 7" long! What is up with it suddenly putting out a massive leaf? Thanks for any help with this perplexing question.

Have you changed any way you handle the plant? More light? More fertilizer? Different fertilizer?

The first new leaf that came out on my KQ was about twice the size of the existing leaves. I think it's because I was fertilizing more.

Well the leaf size was relatively the same size on entire plant! I did use a new fertilizer but never dreamed it would triple the leaf size!! I can't wait to see what next one is like! Thanks for the help!!!
