What looks strange about it to you, Karyn? There is definitely a fascinating amount of variety among Hoya peduncles, but your lobbii peduncle looks just fine to me!

I find lobbii's flowers really interesting and cool. They form under the leaves, so you have to watch for them closely. Here are some as they developed...

WOW! Denise those are beautiful!!! they make me think of strawberry jam! or little strawberry flavored candies... do they have a scent?

It just looked different then most of the others that I have. I only have about a dozen hoyas so there's not a whole lot of variety. I do like the pics Denise posted. Hopefully I'll be in town when they open.

I'm getting H. Lobbii from Carol. In your opinions, is she an easy, tough one that grows fast?

Amber, I don't notice any scent from lobbii, but it is beautiful.

Susan, it's a fast and easy grower, but it's a rambler. It takes up a lot of room - I'd probably have gotten rid of it for that reason if it hadn't bloomed so quickly and stolen my heart. In other words, it's worth it!
