What Are Your Favorites For Foilage?

Hi everyone,

Foilage is what I'm primarily looking at most of the time for my hoyas. To answer my own question, I would have to choose:

1. Kerrii- Hands down my all time favorite for foilage. It ranks high on my recommended hoya list. Come on! Heart shaped leaves? Who wouldn't love a plant with heart shaped leaves?

2. Var. macrophylla-Like living artwork

3. Pubicalyx-Love the speckles that they have!

4. Krimson Queen-who doesn't love this one?

5. Fungii-One word: texture!

There is my top five list. I didn't put down compacta because while I love the foilage it's difficult to have when you're dealing with mealies. Krimson Princess is beautiful too, when it doesn't lose the varigation. I still like them though! Oh and *hopefully soon* I will be getting kerrii!! Yahoo!!!

So, what are your favorites?

Well out of the plants I own...

    1. Var. macrophylla
    2. serpens... I love the little leaves
    3. Mathilde... again little leaves
    4. Pink silver splash - Pubicalyx
(I think thats what its called)
    5. Well... I guess my last choice is Rigida... Now I like the big leaves - lol....
I like them all really! My list could go on and on....

Hmmm... I'm all about the bi-colored leaves, like callistophylla, large leaves, and I love anything fuzzy. Out of my collection, I'd probably say:

    1. DS-70. The new growth is always so soft, and the leaves get a very attractive purple cast when sunkissed.

    2. merrillii, because it's so shiny and pretty

    3. diversifolia

    4. macrophylla variegata

    5. pubicalyx RHP- gotta love the dark, almost black new leaves and vines.

This is surprisingly hard to narrow down to five. But then again, I buy for foliage most of the time, not flowers.

    1. lambii

    2. sp. Kalimantan

    3. buotii

    4. elliptica

    5. calycina

Throwing a few more out there just because: variegated obovata, everyone already said variegated macrophylla, erythrostemma, fitchii, cagayanensis...

    0. My all round timeless foliage favorite: rigida!, {{gwi:976170}}, {{gwi:976171}}

Off the top of my head, my current faves are as follows (in no particular order):

    1. surigaoensis

    2. thompsonii

    3. mitrata

    4.

    5. {{gwi:976174}}

I am also recently very taken with limoniaca, bicknellii,

, and siamica (I don't want to enable anyone, but is anyone else noticing that a lot of the plants we're mentioning are in Joni's August's sale? I can't tell you how tempted I am to buy a second one of this one just b/c I love it so much and everyone's always wanting it in trade... >_>')

    Another tough question, but:
    1. Carnosa KQ
    2. Vitellinoides
    3. Gigantaganensis (now called a new name)
    4. Kunming Kina
    5. Lambii

Tomorrow the list may change!! There's just too many with spectacular foilage!!

My Krimson Queen has the most beautiful waxy-like leaves, and some are pure creamy-white. Numero Uno in my book!

Let's see, off the top of my head, in no particular order...

    Curtisii

I love all my hoyas but a few do stand out for me
    Lambii
    australis lisa
    finlaysonii
    hypolasia
    scortechinii
    sigillatis
Sorry could not stop with just five.
I thought I would show just how beautiful scortechinii is.

    and one more.

The leaf is stiff like cardboard and a bit like leather.

    Thanks for looking.
