Hm, your mix looks nice and chunky so I find it hard to imagine it's overwatering. Personally, I would cut it above the yellow leaves and re-root the stem with the good leaves, but keep the pot with the old leaves. It may make a comeback, but I'd do this just to be safe.

Nick is a tough plant and will probably come through fine. But I always think it's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to an ailing plant. Late winter/early spring, I had two of my bigger Hoyas (macgillivrayii & imperialis) start to decline (I think due to getting too cold) and I chopped them up to make new cuttings. I was fairly confident that what I left in the pot would come back, but neither did. I'm sure glad I took cuttings - I have several pots of mac and a couple of imperialis. If I'd hesitated longer, I might have neither!

Some plants are easy to over water. I just noticed a yellow leaf on my Dischidia superba today and I know it is from watering before the mix had a chance to dry a little. I would take Denise's advice and then be careful not to over water if this plant seems to be sensitive to too much moisture at the roots.
