What the heck?

I was grooming my Dischidia nummularia, which has been on my back deck all summer and found these all over it. Seed horns? Some kind of alternative leaves? I know a lot of them grow the pocket leaves, so I wasn't sure if this is just one of those weird leaf manifestations or seed horns, which I've never gotten before. I'm sure someone can enlighten me...

Denise, after reading your post, I took a look at my Dischidia nummularia and it is completely covered with seed pods as well. The flowers must be extremely easy to pollinate to produce the huge number of pods.
