Sorry, you've been lied to. 99% that this will NOT produce a new stem. In order for that to happen, there has to be at least a bit of stem attached to that leaf - which happens in that remaining 1% of cases.

Google "propagate hoya from leaf" for more details and people's experiences. And get your money back.

The leaf should live though, possibly even for a long time, growing lots of roots and nothing else.

I would contact the seller and inform them this is false representation! Maybe they will send you an actual start! I recently saw someone post one leaf for sale on ebay and they stated if you wanted a stem cutting they would send that instead of a leaf. Well the only way for a plant to grow is you to have stem cells.

By the way, pot is called a bonsai accent pot, was pretty cheap.
Have written to the ebay person and am awaiting a reply. In the mean time have order from Paul Shirley in the Netherlands and that looks like being a real winner.

Might want to check underneath the soil if by some chance they did send you a piece with a bit of stem on it. However, if they only sent you a leaf without stem, I agree you have a right to be unsatisfied.
