That is very pretty! Your hoya looks very happy and healthy. I have one...still waiting for a peduncle **sigh**
This one has white flowers right...not light pink right? The reason I ask is I read that Moteskei(carnosa) is suppose to have white blooms...but yet mine bloomed Pink. Thanks for sharing!
Very nice Hoya and some equally impressive photos. The second photo is really beautiful. Congratulations on those first blooms, can I ask how long it took to bloom from a cutting?
pug I would call the flowers very very pale pink, not quite pure white.
Mike, I received this as a cutting in March 09, and it has bloomed here in Sep 10, so about 1.5 years for me to bloom it. And it has a second penduncle starting to bud up as well.
Jan, yes I agree, i've found it to be very easy, although it grows in what I call fits. It will put out a few leaves, and then set for a while, and then grow, and so on.
Fungii is one of my favorites. I got some cuttings with peduncles (where the flowers come from) on them, so hopefully I don't have to wait long for blooms. Congrats on the beautiful flowers and I bet they smell wonderful!
I love fungii. The leaves are fabulous, the growth habit is very cool (clusters of leaves, then long wandering vines), and it gets the biggest darn flower clusters! I had a flower cluster with 75 individual flowers on it a couple years ago! Yours looks very happy Ren!
I knew it was fragrant. That's why I asked. LOL at your husband's comment! Some people like hoya scents while others think they are unfavorable. When I let other people smell my lacunosa when it's in bloom, they always like it.
Congrats!! Hoya fungii is one of my favourites too. Mine sits on my kitchen window sill (or has taken it over!) The fantastic fragrance is so strong at night, it makes washing up the dinner dishes a pleasure.
Mine flowers all summer - but then its a bit bigger and older than yours. You have nothing but pleasure to look forward to...and your plant looks super-healthy and well loved :)
