To me, it is a faint chocolate-y scent, like carnosa. It is not as strong as carnosa, IMO.

How long did it take for your Chelsea to bloom? I've had one 5 yrs and not a peduncle in sight!

I got lucky and received a few cuttings, one of which arrived with a couple of peduncles with buds.All but 4 flowers blasted, which may explain the weak scent vs. other carnosas. I honestly do not know the conditions the seller used to get it to set peduncles/bloom. I rooted the cuttings and promptly killed them, due to sheer stupidity (put in hanging basket too high up for me to reach-skylight, and then hubby deployed, so I forgot about it until it started raining dead carnosa parts).
