It is and Im almost positive.... Hoya Onychoides. I have just gotten this Hoya myself. Mine of is very small and just rooting. So I do not have a photo in bloom myself to post. But every picture I have seen of it looks identical to your friends.

ok I saw where your friend thinks her hoya is MacGrilivrayi. I don't believe it is. That looks very close to Onychoides, but without the "claw" look that her blooms have. I'll include a photo of each.

It is close but lacks the "claw" on her Hoya.

I think its Onychoides too...mine bloomed a couple of years ago...here's a picture when it bloomed then...definitely has that claw like (reminds me of spiders,lol...) look about it.

Yes her plant leaves are identical to my onychoides small plant. And also look same was Puglvr posted in her above picture. She has a lovely Hoya Onychoides. Congrats to her on the blooms!
