I just use metal hangers or 15 gauge plastic coated wire (from HD or Lowe's) and bend it to the shape I want for trellising.

Where do you find this wire at HD? I took in a sample of wire and they told me the only thing I could do Is buy 7' long pieces sold in like 25 per pack meant to hang drop ceiling. Thankfully they had a pack of 10 that someone had opened. I ask how much and when employee called to ask, the manager gave them to me!! But I've often wondered what area of store people found this wire. I know its not in GARDENING!

And to OP, they have some nice trellises on Amazon too. Alot of them are more designed for larger plants and not the basic hoop though.

Hi, teisa, I bought some of that wire at Home Depot. It is in a 4" sq. plastic bag that says Vigoro, 50' training wire. (it's a clear bag with green labeling) and even has the HD logo and "garden club" at the bottom of the pkg. It's a roll of green wire that is very easy to bend and twist, yet it holds some form, too. I use those cheapo 2 pak trellises that come with 6 butterfly clips and use the wire to form a hoop or loop depending on the vining habits of the plant. My Australis and Pubicalyx seem to love it.

I hope this helps a little, the wire was near by the tomato cones and other bamboo and metal rods on the garden section just inside the outdoor plant section.
