Both look healthy. Cuttings or rooted?

I agree they do look very healthy. I grow both of these. I love Chelsea but mine just doesn't grow very much at all! Im not sure why but maybe yours will. They look very nice. TFS!

Thanks teisa. That has me worried about the chelsea one. I have both in the windowsill right now and I'm letting them dry before I water again. .

There was a conversation about 'Chelsea', on facebook, I think, and the consensus was that it does grow slowly. Mine certainly does. Rubra / Krimson Princess is not a particularly fast grower either.

Well that's a bummer lol. But at least I added two more to my collection. I'll look for more next year :) I have Krimson Queen, carnosa, and fungii.

Try looking at the big box stores, if you have any near you, for some Hoyas sold under EA (Exotic Angel). Be careful, as they can be mislabeled, but they are often very healthy plants, and you can find different lacunosas, wayetii, incurvula, DS-70/tsangii, nummularoides, curtisii,and once I even found a pot of australis sp. tenuipes. They sell the variegated carnosas, too.

I'll try to see if the big box stores have a better selection next year. I found some at walmart but they were too expensive for my taste lol. I think they were curtisii, DS-70 and wayetii. I saw the fishtail hoya too but it was $16 and dying. I got my Krimson Queen from Walmart two years ago. It started out in a 4 in pot.

You have to find them freshly arrived to make it worth the price. The folks that take care of them at the big box stores (in general) don't do a very good job. But find them fresh, and it's like hitting paydirt! YAY!
