Just went online to see if I can find some instructions but all I found was how much to use for outdoor trees. I would contact the company via email or call Bayer's toll free telephone number. You certainly want to make sure you use the right amount.

I have some of the BATS granular but I find it does not work very well. A friend gave me some to treat a few problem plants and I have used it multiple times without killing the pests completely. I was told to use a tsp per 4" pot but I think it may take quite a bit more to be effective in larger pots. I also find it is best to water the plant and then apply the granules followed by a light watering to dissolve some of them. Any more than a light watering and the granules will dissolve and be flushed out of the pot.

I will apply a small amount of BATS to each pot. A little is better than nothing. I have a real problem with aphids. I really enjoy this forum and all the great topics.

Aphids are easy to get rid of and I often use water with a squirt of dish soap and you can add roughly chopped clove of garlic to the spray bottle. Unless you have a serious problem with aphids I would use the milder approach. Of course you could use some granules and the spray and then you should be rid of the aphids for an longer period of time.
Make sure to spray with the plants out of the sun or in the morning or evening.
