Could someone tell me what this funny little stem is growing off my obovata? Is it possibly a flower stem growing? Or what?

| It could be a peduncle - just the shape of it suggests it is. But it's possible it's a new stem growing. I guess you'll have to wait and see how the tip develops. Denise in Omaha |
