Hi Kelly, if it were mine I would be a little afraid to use BATS on "newly" formed roots but that's just me. If you decide to use it maybe dilute it half of the recommended amount. Since the roots are newly formed and very delicate I would be afraid to chance it? But, maybe someone here has done it without any adverse affect and can advise you.

I would at the very least spray the leaves with Neem or insecticidal soap if you haven't already. Good luck!

I want to say that using the Bats at a lower strength then recommend can cause mealies to become immune to the product.
I am sorry Kelly I cant help weather you should use it or not.But if it were mine I probably would go ahead and use it.
You really don't mealies getting into your other hoyas.
I only use Bats if I have to.We all need to be careful when we use chemicals in our homes.

Since you are dealing with such small plants, why not just spray them with a bit of alcohol? That usually kills them all on the spot. Then you wouldn't be hitting the delicate new roots with anything. Just let them dry then in an area with no sun & return to the place you had them.
