I'm sure you got rid of those lickety-split! But I'm curious - where did you get the seeds? Did you get your own seed horn(s)? I've gotten them so rarely (twice in 35 years), but I know they're common in the more tropical areas...

I only wish I were successful with growing from seed!

Yes, those seeds came from my own plant (see photos in my earlier post)...for some reason we had an unusually large number of flies on the deck this summer (I'm hoping it was the weather and not something more disturbing) and I think that's how the flowers were fertilized...

So are they called "seed horns"? I'm interested because the pod was actually "Y" shaped, rather than the big single pods I'm used to seeing on milkweeds...

Here's a picture of the morning when I got up and found that the seed pod had broken open--you can see that only the left side ruptured--the right side is still intact; that one broke open the following morning...

Lucky you! The reason it was "y" shaped is because you had TWO seed horns on one peduncle form! Two different flowers got pollinated!

Sorry--all the seed is gone...hope some people have luck with it...almost all of mine have germinated and I've put the flat under lights, but I read somewhere that germination is the easy part--actually raising the plants can be very difficult...also, there's apparently a high percentage of damping off with hoya seedlings...so, we'll see how it goes...
